How to Efficiently Remove Printer Drivers from Windows 11

Windows 11 built-in computers are stable and reliable devices that get the job done for over a billion people worldwide. That is not what to say about printers. Somehow these devices are a constant source of headaches for many users. In a desperate attempt to fix a broken printer, users may want to remove a printer driver. When you press Ctrl + P from the keyboard, you will see a Save as PDF printer. Although this might be a great approach to reinstall a printer without having to provide the drivers again, retaining them on the computer only wastes space on the hard drive. Furthermore, if a problem occurs and a driver becomes corrupted, it may cause other issues, as the system will try to use drivers that don’t work.

However, if you no longer need or wish to remove a corrupted print driver, Windows 11 offers a solution to uninstall it entirely from the computer. Equipped with the powerful Settings app, Windows 11 ensures users can quickly eliminate undesired printers from the list. This risewindows article will guide you on how to remove a printer driver from Windows 11.

How to Eliminate a Printer on Windows 11?

To remove a Printer on Windows 11, follow these steps:-

Step 1. First, open the Settings app by pressing the Windows + I keys on the keyboard.

Alternatively, press the Windows + A keys from the keyboard to launch the Quick Settings pane. In the Quick Access pane, click on the Settings gear icon.

Step 2. In the Settings window, click on the Bluetooth & devices category from the left sidebar.

Step 3. Then, on the right-side pane of Bluetooth & devices, click on the Printers & scanners tab.

Step 4. After that, you will see a list of printers installed on your computer and an option to add a new printer or scanner. Click on the Printer name that you no longer require. For instance, we don’t want to see the PDF Architect 8 in our printer list and remove it.

Step 5. In the next window, click on the Remove button to eliminate it from your Windows 11 PC.

Step 6. When you’re done with the above steps, a new pop-up window will appear. Click on the Yes button to complete the action.

Once you execute the above steps, the selected printer will not exist on your Windows 11 PC.
